Saturday 12th Dec 12 noon Eskra's Rudolph Run has a new sponsor with local man Declan Hamill's Nettworx Power Services company the lead sponsor.
Commenting Declan said " We're delighted to be involved in this well-established event and hope our contribution helps with its continued growth as well as contributing to this year's chosen charity". It's widely known now about the untimely death of Paul Murray, a member of the organisers, Knockmany Running Club. Paul and his wife Tracy made a great contribution to the Rudolph Run since its inception in 2010 and it's fitting that the proceeds this year would go to the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust, which helped Tracy & her family at the time of Paul's funeral. Details of ways to donate are on our Home page. This year's 10k & 5k routes will be the same as last year, following positive comments about the change from previous years. There will be the usual prize fund of about £1,100 which includes cash prizes of £100 to the winners of the men's & ladies team event with 2nd & 3rd place cash prizes as well. The main event winner - male & female will receive £100 with 2nd & 3rd places receiving £75 & £50 respectively. There will also be vet category prizes as well as U-18 & Over-18 male & female prizes in the 5k race. There will be two pre-reg nights - Wed 9th & Fri 11th Dec in Eskra Community Centre from 7 to 9pm. Race day registration is from 9.30 to 11.30am.
