Saturday 16th Dec 12 noon This year is the eighth annual Rudolph Run which continues to grow in popularity each year with an entry list of over 300.
The 10k & 5k routes will be the same as last year, following positive comments about the change from previous years. There will be a prize fund of about £1,300 which includes cash prizes of £100 to the winners of the men's & ladies team event with 2nd & 3rd place cash prizes as well. There will also be vet category prizes as well as U-18 & Over-18 male & female prizes in the 5k race. Pre-entry up to 9pm on Friday the 8th Dec is £10 and it's £12 on Race day. 5K entry is £10, primary school children £5 and max family rate for the 5k is £20. Once again there will be £100 prizes for setting a new record time over the 10k course in both male & female categories. The present record for the men's race is 31:44 set by Stephen Duncan in 2011. Anne-Marie McGlynn set a fastest time of 35:01 for the ladies in 2015. The 10k team event grows in popularity each year with an extra 30 runners receiving cash prizes. All you need is 5 runners, all from the same club and not mixed (as there's male & female teams). The best 4 times count. Team registration is free, so just give us your team name and members at registration on race day. And Pacers are back this year to help you achieve that elusive time you've been trying to reach. There will be a pre-reg night on Fri 15th Dec in Eskra Community Centre from 7 to 9pm. Race day registration is from 9.30 to 11.30am.
